Wanderlust: Yosemite National Park

I recently went on a weekend excursion to Yosemite National Park for some winter adventure. I have been to Yosemite several times before but never during winter… so to put it lightly, it was mind blowing. All of the majesty of that place with blankets of snow on top of it made it a whole other world, and a true winter wonderland. So here is a brief photo journal from my time there.
We started our adventure at Bass Lake which is about 15 miles from the south entrance to the park and a great place to set up camp or book a cabin if you only plan to spend a day or 2 in Yosemite. Otherwise I absolutely recommend booking a place in Yosemite Valley simply for convenience sake since it is about another hour and a half drive from Bass Lake to the valley on slick mountain roads. Also, be sure to have chains or 4 wheel drive. They are required and absolutely necessary during much of the winter months.

After that we explored Yosemite Valley a bit and did some winter hiking…
